Razer has launched the new Razer Viper 8K gaming mouse that has the “fastest speed and lowest latency ever achieved” according to the company. The mouse is lightweight and is powered by the trademarked Razer HyperPolling Technology that provides a low input latency. The mouse is perfect for professional gamers and esports players.

Specifications

Available in only a Black variant, the Razer Viper 8K has an ambidextrous built which makes both left-handed and right-handed people use it easily. With the help of the Razer HyperPolling Technology, the mouse is 8X faster than the basic gaming mouse with an 8000Hz polling rate. For comparison, the usual gaming mouse has a 1000Hz polling rate.

The technology reduces delay from one to one-eight of a millisecond and delivers a latency of fewer than 0.125 milliseconds. It is also equipped with a high-speed USB microcontroller. Ultra-smooth cursor movements are a bonus that comes with the HyperPolling technology.

The mouse features the 2nd Gen Razer optical switch that is rated for 70 million clicks and leave no room for misclicks. The Focus Plus 20,000DPI sensor combined with a tactile scroll wheel is impressive too. The Viper 8K is quite compact as it weighs just 71 grams. It is not Razer’s lightest mouse, but it is certainly petite.

The mouse has an onboard memory that allows the user to store/save up to 5 stored profiles for optimal use using the Razer Hypershift Function. It also features the Razer Speedflex cable that allows quicker and tighter mouse controls. 8 programmable buttons enable the users to control the mouse completely.

Rubber side grips are molded onto the mouse that ensures a smooth grip and the bottom of the mouse is built using high-grade PTFE that helps the mouse glide across any surface smoothly. If you do not know what PTFE is then let us explain. PTFE is short for Polytetrafluoroethylene, is an anti-corrosive material that is used to built various things like pipes, and nonstick cookware. So the PTFE helps the mouse move seamlessly on all kinds of surfaces.
