iOS 27.3 beta 1 brings back the redesigned Health app, and Apple has listed what is in it

iOS 27.3 Beta 1: Build, Release Date and What's Missing

Apple has put the redesigned Health app into the first iOS 27.3 beta, according to Apple’s own newsroom post on November 3, 2026. The beta is build 24C5037i, seeded eight days after iOS 27.2 reached everyone.

Apple pulled the Health redesign back during the iOS 27.2 betas, so this is the return people were waiting for. It reaches everyone as a free update later this year, with no date from Apple yet.

TL;DR: iOS 27.3 beta 1 is out for registered developers, and Apple says the redesigned Health app is in it. The app adds Insights and Longevity tabs, Health Age, clinical lab results and camera based movement tests. A public release is planned for December, and Apple Intelligence for China ships with it. Most people should wait for the public version.

What the redesigned Health app adds

FeatureWhat Apple says it does
Insights tabSummaries of heart, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals and cycle tracking through the day
For YouDaily habit suggestions, such as adjusting a wind down routine after several nights of broken sleep
Longevity tabLong term trends across heart health, sleep, movement, hearing and nutrition
Health AgeTurns Apple Watch data into a score compared with your age, and needs an Apple Watch
Clinical labsLets you add results such as A1c and LDL cholesterol
Movement testsUses the iPhone camera and Apple Watch to measure flexibility, strength, balance and VO2 max

Apple says the movement tests run on the device and that no video is recorded, stored or shared. The VO2 max test needs an Apple Watch, AirPods Pro 3 or a third party heart rate sensor.

What is still unconfirmed

MacRumors says Reachability on the iPhone Duo and the Safari feature that fixes weak passwords with Apple Intelligence have not returned yet. It also says the update could bring RCS support to the Australian carrier Telstra. Apple has not confirmed any of these.

The China launch is confirmed. Apple’s China newsroom says the first wave starts testing November 4 and ships in December, without Siri AI. Our Apple Intelligence China story has the full list.

Who should wait for beta 2

A developer beta is built for people testing apps, not for a daily phone. Early builds can drain the battery faster or break an app you rely on for banking or work.

If you still want it, back up first, and note that going back to iOS 27.2 means erasing the phone. Health data is the kind of thing you do not want to lose to a bad beta.
