1. Restart the Computer

Start the troubleshooting by restarting the computer. It often solves problems within a minute.

  1. Press the Windows key to bring up the search box.
  2. Click the power icon to expand a menu from which you have to click the option Restart.

2. Update Windows OS on the PC

To deal with bugs and glitches, look for any new software update that may be available for your PC.

  1. Press Windows + I to go to the Windows settings.
  2. Then, on the left-hand panel, click on Windows Update.

  5. You will be provided with an option Download Now which you have to click to initiate the update installation.

3. Use Command Prompt and Register the Installer

Here are the steps to re-register the Windows installer which will undo any corruption with the current software package.

  1. Press Windows + R to bring up the Run pop-up box.
  2. Enter the phrase services.msc and press enter. You will be redirected to the complete listing of Windows services active on your PC.

  4. From the menu, select the option Start.

Alternatively, if the service is already running, you can stop it momentarily and restart it again.

  1. Press Windows + R to bring up the Run dialog box.
  2. Enter the term services.msc and press enter. You will find your way to the list of Windows services present on your PC.

  4. From the menu select the option Properties.

5. Download the Software Setup Package Once Again

If you are sure that the software package you previously downloaded is not the correct one, then redownload it. Make sure that the software setup package download process is not slowing down or interrupting anywhere. Before that uninstall or delete the existing software package(the corrupt one) from your PC.

Also, if the installation of the app requires you to connect to the web, ensure that the installation process is not getting disrupted due to a bad network.

6. Perform the App Installation as an Administrator
