Xiaomi has publicly announced the devices that it has scheduled to receive the all-new HyperOS 3.0 system upgrade. HyperOS 3.0 will be based on Android 16, and the software will roll out in phases for different eligible devices from Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones starting from October 2025 and spanning into March of 2026.
Before the global rollout in October, Xiaomi had already launched the new HyperOS 3.0 in China in September 2025. Xiaomi wearables, tablets from Xiaomi, and REDMI are also scheduled for a HyperOS 3.0 update. Currently, some of the Xiaomi smartwatches and smart bands are receiving the HyperOS 3.0.

Features of HyperOS 3.0

You can transform the photos on your device’s lock screen using AI to create dynamic wallpapers and a cinematic lock screen. HyperOS 3.0 comes with redesigned icons and Homescreen UI.
HyperOS 3.0 for tablets and pads brings a split-screen view to help you manage multitasking. Xiaomi has effortlessly managed to blend AI with the HyperOS 3.0, creating features like AI-powered writing, speech recognition, translation, and summarizing search results.

File sharing becomes a breeze with HyperOS 3.0 HyperConnect feature, which enables transmission of files by simply touching the devices at the sending and receiving ends. This feature also works with iPhones, which is surely interesting.
HyperOS 3.0 also focuses on device and data security with post-quantum level data encryption and AI-powered data security that securely channels the data movement from the device to the cloud.

How to Install HyperOS 3.0?
The HyperOS 3.0 Beta is being rolled out in phases as an Over-the-Air(OTA) Update. Your device will notify you when the HyperOS 3.0 beta build starts rolling out for your device.
To install HyperOS 3.0, tap the overhead notification of the OTA Update when it arrives on your device. Keep the device connected to WiFi and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the HyperOS 3.0 Update.
