    None of this worked for me. I can work around finding my device by using our land line to call the lost phone (our ISP required us to accept a land line as part of a package deal). But the real problem is I believe this is also why Google prompts to log into websites aren’t working.

    Google find my device is a non goer and google communities don’t answer and these suggestions don’t work – On find my device says no active devices – how do you make a device active on google??

    none of this worked, it works sometime but most of the times NOT.
    I have to go into manage my google account > security> find lost device> then it’ll maybe work.
    sometimes this will make it work once or twice then it goes right back to cannot find device
