PAN Card Not Received, What Should I Do Now?

It’s been a good time that you sent your PAN application? Didn’t receive your PAN Card yet even after the long wait? Read the complete post to learn how you can trigger the NSDL to take note of your PAN request.

Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a code that acts as an identification for Indian nationals, especially those who pay Income Tax. It is also mandatory in case of many bank deposits. The application can be sent online or in offline mode.

Points to Remember

  • It may take anywhere around 15 days to 50 days for PAN Card to be dispatched.
  • Make sure your application is received by the NSDL
  • Check the application status.

1. Check the Application Status

It is very important to check the application status regularly, the documents you submitted will be rejected by NSDL if not valid and same will be displayed on status report.

To check Status just go https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pantan/StatusTrack.html

Enter your account credentials namely, Acknowledgement number or Name and DOB to know your application status.

Your PAN Application Status

Even if the status says not yet received (after few days of sending the post), then check with the courier service for the cause of failure which mostly could be wrong address or issues in dispatching your courier.

2. Send Mail to NSDL

If the application status reads application under process with NSDL for a good period of time then I suggest you mail the NSDL and request them to take your application under consideration.

Add your Acknowledgement number, name and DOB in the mail along with a formal request.

NSDL Contact Mail – ti*****@*****co.in

3. Lodge a Complaint with TIN/NSDL

Simultaneously you can lodge a complaint with NSDL about the delay in PAN Card process.

Just go to https://www.tin-nsdl.com/customerfeedback.html

Fill all the details correctly and sent the complaint along with acknowledgement number, name and DOB.

4. Call Customer Support

The last resort is to call the NSDL support and ask them about the delay. Keep documents related the PAN ready.
