Samsung’s refurbished Galaxy S phones are on Amazon from $489, with a new battery in every one

Samsung Certified Re-Newed Galaxy Phones Now on Amazon

Samsung has put its Certified Re-Newed refurbished Galaxy phones on Amazon.com, with 14 listings covering the Galaxy S24 FE through the Galaxy S25 Ultra and prices starting at $489. Each phone gets a certified new battery and a one-year warranty. For anyone whose two year old phone now needs a charger by mid-afternoon, that battery line matters more than the discount.

TL;DR: Samsung Certified Re-Newed Galaxy phones are now sold through Amazon.com, starting at $489 before taxes and fees. Every unit passes 147 checks, gets a new battery and genuine Samsung parts, and carries a one-year limited warranty. Samsung has not published per-model prices, cosmetic grades or a return policy, so check those on the listing before buying.

What Samsung Certified Re-Newed adds to Amazon

Samsung Certified Re-Newed phones are refurbished by Samsung itself, and the Amazon launch covers seven models in two storage sizes each, so 14 listings in total.

Galaxy S25 Ultra256GB, 512GBTitanium Black

Color choice is narrow, with one shade per model, so this is a shop for the phone rather than the finish.

Amazon is a new storefront for a program that has been growing for a while. Samsung’s newsroom lists earlier Certified Re-Newed additions for the Galaxy S24 series in April 2025, its first Galaxy Z models in August 2025, and the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 on April 22, 2026. Putting the S-series on Amazon moves the program in front of shoppers who were never going to browse Samsung’s own store.

What the 147 checks and the new battery cover

Samsung says every phone is serviced by its own specialists and repaired with 100% Samsung genuine parts, including a certified new battery. Each unit then has to pass 147 quality checkpoints before it earns the Certified Re-Newed label.

The battery is the part that changes daily use. Used phones usually fail the same way: the screen and cameras are fine, but the battery fades and the phone feels older than it is.

That is the practical difference between a manufacturer program and a random marketplace seller. Samsung is promising its own parts and its own test process, so a battery swap is not left to whoever listed the phone.

The box is also tidy. It ships in 100% recyclable packaging with a quick start guide, a data cable and an ejector pin. Samsung’s list does not include a charger, so plan on using your own.

The $489 starting price and the warranty

Samsung lists a starting price of $489 excluding taxes and fees, but it does not say which model that is or what the other 13 listings cost. Until the listings load for you, treat $489 as a floor rather than a typical price.

Every phone carries a one-year limited manufacturer warranty, and Samsung notes the standard limited warranty applies. Samsung also did not describe cosmetic grading or a return window in the announcement. That gap matters more than the spec sheet suggests, because scratches and dents are what refurbished buyers argue about most.

Samsung Care+ on a refurbished phone

Certified Re-Newed phones are eligible for Samsung Care+, which covers drops, spills and mechanical breakdowns. Samsung says accidental damage claims are unlimited, with a repair or replacement at its discretion, and mechanical failure claims are unlimited too.

A cracked screen or back glass costs $29 per claim, and same-day screen repair may be available in select areas depending on parts and technician availability. Samsung does not give the plan’s monthly or upfront price in this announcement, so that number is worth confirming at checkout.

What this means if your upgrade is due

Samsung raised US prices on the Galaxy S26 lineup earlier this month, and the memory shortage is pushing phone costs up across the industry. A refurbished S25 with a fresh battery sits in a different place on that curve.

Before buying, compare the exact listing price against a new Galaxy S25 deal, read the return terms on the Amazon page, and decide whether Care+ is worth adding. Samsung gave the framework, and the listing will supply the numbers that decide it.
